Mount Hope Housing Authority, West Virginia offers housing opportunities to serve residents of the City of Mount Hope and Fayette County. The Mount Hope Housing Authority was established in 1937 as one of the first public housing authorities in West Virginia and is governed by a five-member Board of Commissioners.

The Mount Hope Housing Authority provides public housing for eligible low-income families, persons with disabilities, and the elderly. The Mount Hope Housing Authority administers 135 Public Housing Units and does not offer HCV (Housing Choice Vouchers), previously Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers. The housing programs at Mount Hope Housing Authority are income based and the eligibility guidelines are set by HUD (United States Department of Housing and Urban Development).
